Antenna Audio (www.antennaaudio.com), global leader in audio and multimedia interpretation, announced today its collaboration with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, who preserve and care for The Alamo, to produce a Discovery Audio tour for this great American historic site. The project, which is set to launch on May 19th, is the very first audio tour for the Alamo. The tour will contribute to the Alamo Fund, helping to preserve the site’s future and offer its visitors a more enhanced experience through eyewitness accounts from Alamo survivors and stories of the great battles fought on the land.
The Alamo is the most visited destination in the state of Texas, with over 2.5 million visitors annually. The Alamo is best known for the 13-day siege and battle between Mexican soldiers and the nearly 200 Tejano and Texan forces seeking to establish an independent republic in Texas. The contemporary Alamo campus is comprised of historic structures from the Spanish mission-era, buildings from the 1930’s Works Progress Administration, and is beautifully landscaped. The Alamo is managed by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT), a non-profit organization, and is run at no cost to the State of Texas.
