Antenna Audio is delighted to announce the launch of its first audio guide service for The National Galleries of Scotland. The honour is even more prestigious, as the audio guide will be for Monet: The Seine and the Sea ñ Vétheuil and Normandy, 1878 ñ 1883. Billed as ëone of the major visual arts events of 2003í, it is the first exhibition to be shown in the restored and refurbished Royal Scottish Academy Building ñ bringing together around 80 paintings by the Impressionist master, dating from the years he spent in Vétheuil, when he was at the height of his powers.
This period of critical importance in Monetís work has not, until now, been the focus of a major exhibition, and paintings will be on loan from museums and galleries around the world. Antenna Audio will be providing a tour of the highlights narrated by Siobahn Redmond. The tour builds on Antenna Audioís unrivalled experience in interpreting the works of The Impressionists, at the leading museums and galleries of the world and is enlivened with the delightful music of the period.
The refurbished Royal Scottish Academy Building forms the centrepiece of The Playfair Project, establishing world-class exhibition facilities in one of Edinburghís greatest buildings.
