Antenna Audio continues its important relationship with The Royal Academy of Arts with the production of a lively and informative audio guide for Kirchner: Expressionism and The City. This is the first exhibition of Kirchnerís work ever staged in a non-commercial gallery in Britain.
Kirchner is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest German artists of the twentieth century, and this exhibition focuses on the years before 1918, when the artist created his most vibrant and haunting works in Dresden and Berlin.
The guide, written and narrated by Frank Whitford, critic and specialist in Modern German art, explains Kirchnerís life and artistic development. It draws on Kirchnerís writing as well, letting the artist himself talk about individual works and the experiences that produced them.
Antenna Audio, the world's leading provider of audio guides and interpretation, has been the sole provider of world-class audio guides for The Royal Academy since 1998.
