About the position
We are looking to hire lively, enthusiastic, hard working and dynamic Sales Assistants, to actively promote our tours in museums and galleries throughout the UK. The job reports to the Site Operations Manager and the Client Services Department.
Key duties include:
To actively encourage and approach visitors to use the audio guide;
To inform all visitors to the museum/gallery about the audio guide;
To provide excellent customer service to all visitors;
To assist and instruct all visitors with audio guide equipment;
To handle cash transactions and provide receipts to all visitors;
To setup and breakdown audio guide equipment on a daily basis;
To pack and ship equipment at the end of an exhibition;
To follow reasonable management instructions and work well within a team;
To follow all Company operational policies and procedures; and
To adhere to the Company’s code of conduct
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics, education, experience and training:
Excellent communication skills
Strict attention to detail
Ability to perform well under pressure
Ability to stand on one's own feet for extended periods of time
Availability to work weekends and occasional special events
A good sense of humour
Ability to work in a team
Be honest and reliable
