Museums & Heritage Show 2007: Antenna Audio partners with industry’s leading trade event

Visit Antenna Audio at the Museums & Heritage Show, the UK’s leading industry event at Earls Court in London on 9th & 10th May!  The show is a ‘must do’ for anyone working in museums, galleries or heritage and cultural visitor attractions and offers a wide variety of other features aimed at keeping industry professionals in touch with the latest thinking and sector knowledge. As always, our team will be ready to welcome you to our stand, G3, where we will be exhibiting all the latest developments in audio and multimedia interpretation.

This year Antenna Audio has worked in close collaboration with the show organisers and is the official sponsor of the free seminar programme available for delegates to attend on Wednesday May 9th. Antenna Audio has brought together leading industry professionals to present on funding and income generation, from organisations such as English Heritage, to fundraising and strategy consultants who will talk about rising to the challenge of the 2012 Olympics and attracting corporate sponsorship. Funding and income generation for museums, galleries and heritage attractions is strongly supported by Antenna Audio through the services it offers. In 2006, Antenna Audio ploughed back over £5 million in direct and indirect revenue into the cultural and heritage sector.  This is generated from the sites that Antenna Audio partners with on a ‘revenue share’ basis.

Within the marketing & audience development seminar theme, Antenna Audio’s Head of New Product Development, Dr. Nancy Proctor, will present the latest trends and solutions for handheld audio and multimedia guides and how they can be used to retain existing audiences and reach new ones. At this year’s show, Antenna Audio will also be introducing two new exciting products for the cultural sector. The XP-vision™ is the industry’s first purpose-built handheld multimedia player designed for use in museums, galleries and visitor attractions. The robust portable device is used with stereo headphones and offers a solution to obsolescence issues, unlike commercial PDAs. The CAT, Antenna Audio’s Content Assembly Tool™ is a web-based software application allowing museums, galleries and visitor attractions to create and/or update their own multimedia tours. The CAT enables the assembly of pre-existing content assets like text, audio, images, videos and flash animations.

For more information, please visit our stand, G3, at the Museums & Heritage Show 2007. Admission to the event and all sessions is free. Pre-register at www.museumsandheritage.com or call 01905 724734.
