Historian and presenter Michael Wood narrates audioguide for China: The Three Emperors, 1662-1795

Popular historian and presenter of TV classics such as Great Railway Journeys and The Origins of Civilisation narrates the Antenna Audio production for the Royal Academyís China show this autumn.
The audioguide provides an in-depth look at the background and context of the Qing Dynasty, with details of Chinese traditions and courtly life of the era as well as influences on the arts, such as the presence of the Jesuit missionaries.
This complex exhibition includes many objects that have never before been shown outside China to which the guide gives particular attention, such as a decorative fan-shaped instrument used to measure the distance between stars.
A family tour provides a more interactive and child-friendly look at the exhibition, as the narrator resurrects the ghosts of two ancient chinese scholars to guide the tour. Full of humour and interesting facts, the family audioguide simplifies the complex history of the Chinese court and draws attention to specific objects and works of art.
