Tate Modern will be exploring the potential of personal digital assistants to help students and teachers get more from their visit. The Antenna Audio/Tate multimedia learning tour is being piloted this autumn with a number of invited schools. During the tour, students will be loaned PDAs equipped with an interactive guide to the permanent collection. These can be used to make audio recordings, draw, write text and add comments. Content created during the visit will be uploaded by Tate staff to a secure site, with each student having access via a login to their own webpage. Once back in the classroom students can adapt and add to this, uploading their own artwork and creating presentations. Latest details on the project are at www.antennaaudio.com/tatelearning
