Antenna Audio Launches New Audio Tour at the Tower of London

In October 2008 Antenna Audio was delighted to launch the new audio guide for the Tower Of London. A number of changes from the previous audio guide have created a new, exciting and refreshed feel to the visitor experience at the Tower. The most significant change perhaps being, the inclusion of, the Tower’s most memorable exhibit, The Crown Jewels. Visitors can learn about the history and functions of this dazzling piece of British History.

As well as the new commentary of the Crown Jewels, visitors choose to take one or all of the five new and varied ‘mini tours’ dealing with separate themes and areas of the fortress. From the stories of the Normans to the use of the Medieval Palace, visitors can explore every aspect of the Tower at their leisure and own pace. The final tour available provides visitors with a “behind the scenes” look at the lives of the people that live inside the Tower itself, including the Governor, the Raven Master, and the Chief Yeoman Warder.

This audio tour was made possible by working closely with the Historic Royal Palace’s operations team with whom Antenna Audio has developed the tour to improve the visitor experience and education.
