The audio guide for Kandinsky traces the compelling story of the great Russian artist who pioneered abstract painting, the guide featuring more than 40 paintings and drawings from throughout Kandinsky’s career. Visitors are led by Assistant Curator, Karole Vail, who shares her intimate opinions on the artist’s work and also hear from exhibition curator Tracey Bashkoff. Concert pianist Sarah Rothenberg explains the connection between avant-garde music and painting at the time, and the profound influence of music on Kandinsky –the compositions of his contemporaries Schoenberg and Scriabin can be heard throughout the tour.
