Staatsgalerie Stuttgart to show Edward Burne-Jones: The Earthly Paradise

In Germany the work of Edward Burne-Jones was never before presented in an exhibition completely. The paintings, cycles, stained glass windows and tapestry – on display since 24 October 2009 - confirm the legendary sphere of old myths and fairytales. In the Antenna Audio tour the visitor can hear original quotes from the artist, contemporaries and friends. Accompanied by contemporary music the visitor is introduced in a dream like world of fairytales and experiences everything about the background of Burne-Jones favourite motifs.

In the audio tour for children, produced as an audio play, the artist himself guides children through a mysterious world of dreams, in which the beautiful always gets the upper hand against the weird. The artist explains, why he is fascinated by the chosen tales and affords an insight in his work process.
